Saturday, May 9 2009, 10:00am - 6:00pm Playland @ the PNE Come down to the Annual Playland Extravaganza! There will be the 4th Annual Youth Idol, contests, community information booths, 3-on-3 Basketball and unlimited access to all the rides! Make sure you get your reduced rate ticket in advance from a participating Vancouver Community Centre or at Hastings Community Centre on the Day of the event. Skateboard Event This will be a non-competitive, family friendly skateboard event, celebrating and showcasing the practice, culture and history of skateboarding.
Note: Normal plaza rules apply (unsupervised, skate at your own risk, helmets and safety gear recommended, etc.) will not be supervised by staff. Youth Week is an international celebration of youth held annually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun, interaction and celebration intending to build a strong connection between young people and their communities and to profile the issues, accomplishments and diversity of youth across British Columbia.
