Carleton Park

Project Description

Funding for improvements to Carleton Park is available from the 2009-2011 Capital Plan: approximately $100,000 is currently available for your priority improvements. Working with residents, we hope to develop both a short term plan (to take advantage of the funds available currently) and also a long term plan for the park - should additional funding become available in the future.

Recently a number of park elements and improvements have been suggested by local residents, including: a dog off-leash area, community garden, wetland, playground upgrade, picnic areas, pathways, and an active area for sports.  

With the information received at the open house (January 26th) and through the on-line survey (closed February 12th), we hope to get a sense of this community’s priorities and to report back at a second follow up open house meeting to be held in March.

At the March open house, staff will introduce a proposed short and long term improvement plan. With the support of residents, construction of the short term improvement plan will be completed in 2012.
