a FREE visit to the Bloedel
Floral Conservatory on Friday, January 30th from 10 am to 5 pm
atop beautiful Queen
Elizabeth Park at Cambie Street and 33rd Avenue. Escape the winter
doldrums through a visit to the tropics - without leaving town. Enjoy
beautiful spring floral displays featuring azaleas, daffodils, begonias,
orchids and other blooming plants set amidst Vancouver's year-round
garden paradise "under the dome".
Bring your binoculars too and observe over 50 species of tropical
birds that call the Bloedel Conservatory home, including a pair of spectacular
red macaws, "Maria" and "Carmen", and our ever-popular
pink cockatoo, "Charlie".
A wonderful selection of foliage and flowering potted plants will also
be on SALE at fabulous prices and just in time for Valentine's
Day gift buying!
While at Queen Elizabeth Park visit the viewing platform to observe
the progress of the $37 million Little Mountain Reservoir reconstruction
project.
