Stanley Park Farmyard and Miniature Railway Open for Spring Break

March 9, 2004 (No. 12) - The ever-popular Miniature Railway and Children's Farmyard will be open daily during Spring Break this year from Saturday, March 13th through Sunday, March 21st between the hours of 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The mild winter has given Vancouver's first park a jump on spring with many early blooming trees and shrubs in full-scented flower, making a train ride through the rainforest a nature-inspired experience. As well, many newly arrived farmyard residents are on view or have progressed to frolicking in the enclosed areas. Other furred and feathered creatures are on the very brink of birthing/hatching a variety of babies including lambs, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, finches and love birds.

An open shelter adjacent to the Stanley Park Farmyard makes a perfect spot for a family picnic following a train or barnyard visit with a nearby adventure playground ready for exploration. Refreshments will also be available in the Farmyard Cafe.
