"The Drive" - A Video Trek Through the Decades

Looking Back Series

March 29, 2004 (No. 16) - Britannia Community Services Centre is inviting the public to an event that captures the rich history and heritage of "The Drive" through CBC newscasts and selections of earlier film footage. Vibrant and diverse Commercial Drive has a legacy of attracting people to gather, shop, create and protest. Join CBC archivist Colin Preston to remember and celebrate this vibrant Vancouver community. This is an opportunity to share memories and insights and discuss the many changes the Drive has seen over the years.

This event is part of the Looking Back series of presentations that reflect the City of Vancouver's rich history through old moving images and narration. These events are presented in cooperation with CBC Television and the Vancouver Park Board and are being offered at local community centres throughout the coming year.
