The Parks Master
Plan
will make provision for the following:
- the 2010 Olympic
and Paralympic Winter Games Curling Venue;
- the Olympic
Legacy Plan: Conversion of the Curling Venue into a new
Community Centre, Ice Rink and Curling Club;
- development of a new aquatic centre to replace Percy Norman Pool;
- integration of the above facilities with Millennium
Sports Facility
(currently under construction), Nat Bailey Stadium and the
Racquets Club; and
- retention of the maximum amount of green space, including playgrounds,
playing fields and passive park areas.
