Recollections: A Cinematic Look at Vancouver's Early Rail-Transit Years

September 20, 2004 (No. 71) - An evening featuring the screening of B.C. Electric Rail (BCER) video will be held at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre, located at 3161 Ontario Street, on Wednesday, September 22 from 7- 9 pm. The event is entitled Then and Now and boasts real footage of Vancouver's first streetcars and interurbans, part of the city's early rail system. Rail buffs of all description will be on hand to share their recollections and experiences, including some former conductors.

Transit Museum Society (TRAMS) members will also be in attendance with photo displays and memorabilia and to talk to participants about transit history in Vancouver, vintage buses and electric trolleys. Videos, DVDs and souvenirs will be available for sale and the authors of The Glory Years will be there to autograph copies of their book dealing with the same subject.

Admission is free. Bring your old BCER memorabilia!
