ParkPartners - IdeasFair 2004

November 8, 2004 (No. 81) - The Vancouver Park Board will host Ideas Fair 2004 for the popular ParkPartners program Saturday, November 20th at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre from 9 am - 2 pm. Located at 181 Roundhouse Mews, Ideas Fair 2004 will put potential volunteers in touch with like-minded people already partnering with the Vancouver Park Board in the delivery of projects and services that enhance our city's greenspaces.

Participants in this event can put forward and exchange ideas for new projects while learning from the many seasoned volunteers that will be on hand to share their diverse experiences during three specific sessions of interest: Dig This - Community Gardening; Ideas Planning and Funding Your Ideas.

ParkPartners was launched in 2002 and addresses community concerns about park cleanliness and crime prevention, but also supports celebrations, community gardening, events and art projects that bring communities together. It creates volunteer opportunities and supports those who want to make ideas, projects and events happen in their neighbourhood parks.
