Christmas at Canada Place Supports Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program

December 13, 2004 (No. 19) - Visit Christmas at Canada Place this year and you'll be supporting Strathcona Community Centre and one of its special children's programs. This year proceeds from the Christmas at Canada Place "Twelve Days of Christmas" event will be donated to the Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children program, which helps to feed kids in the Strathcona community after school and on weekends throughout the year.

The event offers festive crafts, like gingerbread cookie decorating, beautiful seasonal displays and lots of children's activities. Performances by school groups and local entertainers will run everyday on the Entertainment Stage. For more information, visit their web site at www.christmas.canadaplace.ca

Admission is by donation with proceeds supporting Strathcona Community Centre.
