Rainy Weather Ideal for Volunteer Tree Planting

January 19, 2005 (No. 3) - Over 100 volunteers will help plant 300 trees in specific locations on the perimeter pathway of Langara Golf Course this Sunday, January 23rd starting at 11 am. Students of Churchill Secondary School will join forces with neighbourhood and YMCA volunteers to plant a wide variety of trees provided by both the Park Board and the Wild Bird Trust.

The new trees will further enhance the walkway while providing ideal habitat for nesting birds. Park Board staff will be on hand to supervise and provide all planting equipment.
