Stanley Park Seawall ReopenedFebruary 3, 2005 (No. 8) - The Stanley Park Seawall was reopened to the public this afternoon. The pedestrian/cycle path has been closed to the public for more than two weeks after Vancouver experienced heavy rainfall in mid-January that resulted in several mud slides on the cliffs above the walkway. Geotechnical engineers coordinated the removal of three slides and undertook cliff scaling and other work to ensure safe conditions on the seawall. - 30 - For information contact: Eric Meagher, Supervisor Stanley Park, 604-834-0155.
