Special Events in Vancouver Parks

March 1, 2005 (No. 9) - Vancouver Parks host a diverse range of cultural events and outdoor activities. Listed below are some upcoming special events facilitated by the Vancouver Park Board. Spring Garden Forum at VanDusen Garden, 5251 Oak Street Saturday, March 19th 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register now to reserve your spot in one of Vancouver's hottest horticultural workshops. Admission is Garden Members: $45, Non Members $55. Pre-registration a must. Ph. 604-257-8666.

Walk With A Naturalist in the Hastings Park Sanctuary Saturday, March 12th at 10 a.m. Join naturalist Christina Struik at the north-east corner of the Sanctuary for this two hour, free, guided walk. Rain or shine. Sponsored by the Hastings Park Conservancy. This invitation is not extended to dogs. Ph. 604-255-9458.

Miniature Railway /Children's Farmyard Open for Spring Break March 18th - 28th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Kick off spring break with a visit to Stanley Park's farmyard and railway. Lots of new farmyard babies to see along with an array of delightful lambs, chicks, ducks and goats etc. Ph. 604-257-8531.

Easter Egg Hunts at the Children's Farmyard in Stanley Park March 25th - 28th from 10:30 a.m. - 4p.m. Join a life sized bunny as he leads free Easter egg hunts on the hour. Miniature Railway will also be open with a "Hare-Like" conductor in the driver's seat! Ph. 604-257-8531.
