Public Invited to Review Vancouver Park Board Draft Capital Plan for 2006-2008

May 6, 2005 (No. 30) - The public is invited to join Park Commissioners and staff to review spending priorities for the Park Board over the next three years. The Park Board has prepared a draft Capital Plan for the 2006-2008 period that outlines proposed priorities. A Capital Plan outlines medium to large projects that repair, renovate, replace, expand and/or improve parks and recreation services. The draft Capital Plan proposes expenditure of $87,665,000 for the next 3 years. A final version of the Capital Plan will be put forward to voters during the civic election this November.

Three public meetings have been scheduled to review the draft Capital Plan and to provide an opportunity for the public to comment.
