Park Board Office Closes at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17

May 16, 2005 (No. 35) - The Vancouver Park Board's administrative office at 2099 Beach Avenue will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 to allow Park Board employees to vote in the provincial election. All community centres will remain open for their regular hours of operation.

The Elections Act states that employers must provide eligible employees with four consecutive hours to vote between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on the day of the provincial election. The Act allows employers to set this four-hour voting period.
