Rain or Shine Festival in Stanley Park

posterMay 27, 2005 (No. 41) - Get ready to celebrate, Rain or Shine, in Stanley Park on June 18th. The Vancouver Park Board in cooperation with community centre programmers and artistic staff will present a full day's activities highlighting the diverse programs and events available to residents through their park and recreation facilities.

Enjoy free music and performances, activities, demonstrations, nature tours, walks, refreshments, drumming, tennis, skateboarding and so much more! Activities are planned for all ages and abilities. Meet the Raining King and Queen and join the Umbrella Parade!

Be sure to enter the Rain or Shine Challenge by picking up an event punch card on-site. You get a stamp for each activity you participate in. The more stamps you get the better your chances of winning fantastic prizes! Special bonus: by bringing a decorated umbrella, you automatically get 2 stamps!

Rain or Shine Umbrella Decorating Workshops

Come out to an Umbrella Decorating Workshop happening at Community Centres and community festivals across Vancouver over the next few weeks and decorate an umbrella to bring to the Rain or Shine Festival on June 18th in Stanley Park.
