Monsters in the Meadow August 5th at 9 pm in Stanley Park. The classic Godzilla will be on tap all under the stars and courtesy of the Vancouver Park Board. Phone: 604-257-8438.
Summer Sizzler at Killarney Community Centre August 6 from 9 am - 3 pm. Celebrate summer along with community volunteers and the neighbourhood at this annual festival featuring a huge outdoor flea market, carnival games, pony rides and other entertainment. Walk With A Naturalist in the Hastings Park Sanctuary Saturday, August 13 in Hastings
Park. Join guest Rob Lyske and learn
how 80 or more species of birds have adopted
the Sanctuary as their new habitat. Meet
at the northeast corner of the Sanctuary
at 10 am for this two hour, free, guided
walk. Rain or shine. Sponsored by the Hastings
Park Conservancy. This invitation is not

HSBC Celebration of Light August 3rd & 6th at 10 pm presented by the Vancouver Fireworks Society
at English Bay. Canada, Sweden and China compete in this fireworks extravaganza.
Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's Free Concert in Stanley Park Sunday, August 7 at Lumbermen's Arch in Stanley Park. Rehearsal at 2 pm and evening performance at 7 pm. Come early, bring a picnic lunch or dinner and settle in for a magical evening of classic and pop favourites! Phone: 604-876-3434.
