Park Board Community Centres and Other Facilities Reopen

October 21, 2005, 4:00 pm (No. 25) - Vancouver community centres and other Park Board facilities have reopened following closures earlier today as a result of job action by civic unions.

The following community centres and facilities are now open for scheduled activities this evening and this weekend:

  • Douglas Park
  • Kensington
  • Lord Byng Pool
  • Renfrew
  • Templeton Pool
  • Trout Lake
  • Vancouver Aquatic Centre

Strathcona, Thunderbird, Riley Park and Champlain Heights Community Centre remain closed today, but will reopen on the weekend.

The Stanley Park Ghost Train will run at its regular times starting at 6 pm tonight.

All other community centres not listed above were open for business as usual today.
