Bloedel Floral Conservatory Free Day and Plant Sale

January 20, 2006 (No. 5) - Help celebrate 37 years of spectacular tropical displays in the jungle paradise at Bloedel Floral Conservatory during a FREE visit on Friday, January 27th from 10am to 5pm. The Conservatory is located atop beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park at Cambie Street and 33rd Avenue. Escape the winter doldrums through a visit to the tropics - without leaving town. Enjoy beautiful spring floral displays featuring gerberas, daffodils, begonias, orchids and other blooming plants set amidst Vancouver's year-round indoor garden.

Bring your binoculars along and observe over 60 species of tropical birds that call the Bloedel Conservatory home, including a pair of spectacular red macaws, "Maria" and " Carmen", and our popular cockatoo ambassador "Charlie".

Our gift shop will be full of great gift plants at low prices along with a host of interesting items just in time for Chinese New Year. Complimentary coffee will be provided by Starbucks.
