Children's Farmyard
and Miniature Railway in Stanley Park Saturdays and Sundays during February,
11 am - 4 pm weather permitting. Discover
the rainforest from the mini
train and get up close
and personal with our wide variety of domesticated

Bird Walk at
VanDusen Garden Saturday, February 11th, 10 am. Join
Natural History Society guide for a birding
exploration of VanDusen
Garden. Meet at the
Garden entrance (37th Avenue & Oak Street
at 10 am.) Limited to first 20 people. Rain
or shine. Free to members or with admission

Ivy Pull in Stanley
Park Saturday, February 18th from 9 am -
12 noon. Meet
at the Stanley Park Pavilion at 9 am and join volunteers
from the Stanley
Park Ecology Society
as they pull
English Ivy from trees and shrubs. Ph. 604-718-6522.
18th Annual "First
Half" Half Marathon Sunday, February 19th, 8:30 am starting
at David Lam Park (Pacific Boulevard & Drake Street). Entry spaces all filled
by November but spectators welcome. Run goes
from David Lam Park via seawall around Stanley
Park and back to start. Sponsored by Pacific
Road Runners www.pacificroadrunners.ca 
Walk with a Naturalist
in the Hastings Park Sanctuary Saturday, February 25th, 10
am. Join
naturalist Christina Struick at the northeast corner
of the Hastings
Park Sanctuary at 10 am for this two
hour, free, guided walk. Rain or shine. Sponsored
by the Hastings Park Conservancy. This invitation is

Seedy Saturday
at VanDusen Garden Saturday, February 25th from 10
am - 4 pm. Located
at 37th
Avenue & Oak Street in the Floral Hall.
Heritage seeds for sale and swap, seed growers and
special lectures. By donation.
Free Skating
Sessions at Park Board Rinks Afternon of Sunday, February
26th. As part of the Olympic
