Stanley Park Seawall to Close for Cliff Scaling

February 8, 2006 (No. 7) - The Stanley Park Seawall will be closed to the public for annual cliff scaling from Monday, February 13th through Friday, February 24th. The seawall will be closed between Third Beach and the Lion's Gate Bridge (see map) from 7 am to 5 pm weekdays but open to pedestrians, rollerbladers and cyclists on weekends and after 5 pm weekdays.

The Stanley Park Seawall, built incrementally over a 70-year period, is one of the most popular recreational facilities in Vancouver serving walkers, joggers, cyclists and rollerbladers.
