Upfront Garden Contest to Recognize City's Best

March 15, 2006 (No. 18) - The Garden Club of Vancouver and the Vancouver Park Board are sponsoring the Up Front Gardening Competition. This popular contest, in its second year, recognizes Vancouver's wonderful front gardens, small and generous, that can be viewed from the sidewalk.

City residents may put forward their own gardens or nominate other gardens for consideration. The Garden Club and Park Board will receive the nominations and a panel of judges will select winners from each of Vancouver's 22 neighbourhoods.

Three gift certificate prizes, ranging in value from $500 to $200, will be awarded to the top three Up Front Gardens and are generously sponsored by Phoenix Perennials and Specialty Plants  of Richmond.
