Stanley Park Seawall Closure between Lions Gate Bridge and Pipeline Road (north foot)March 28, 2006 (No. 21) - A section of the popular Stanley Park Seawall will be closed for reconstruction starting Monday, April 3, 2006. The affected seawall area spans from near the north foot of Pipeline Road westerly to the Lions Gate Bridge. Signs have been posted with detour routes and detour pamphlets will also be available on-site. The closure will be in place 24-hours a day during construction. Reconstruction work will include widening, split-leveling and resurfacing of the asphalt seawall pathway. The project is expected to be completed by May 2006. A 300 metre section of the Coal Harbour Seawall near Stanley Park's entrance is also closed for reconstruction at this time.
