Public Invited to John Hendry Park Master Plan Public Meeting

May 5, 2006 (No. 31) - The public is invited to join the Vancouver Park Board and the Grandview Community Association at the next scheduled meeting to discuss the future of John Hendry Park, Trout Lake Community Centre and Trout Lake Ice Rink.

Over 200 people attended the second meeting held on March 4th, which focused on identifying possible locations for the new community centre and ice rink. Two possible locations remain:

• the site of the existing community centre and ice rink
• the area north of the existing community centre and ice rink

The Park Board has collected information about soil conditions in these two locations which will be presented at the meeting. The public is encouraged to come out and share their choice of the best location.
