Summer Sizzler at Killarney Community
Centre on August 12 from 9 am - 3 pm. Celebrate
summer along with community volunteers and the
neighbourhood at this annual festival featuring
a huge outdoor flea market, carnival games, pony
rides and other entertainment. All located in

Walk With A Naturalist in the
Hastings Park Sanctuary Saturday, August
26. Join
a naturalist and learn how 80 or more species
of birds have adopted the Sanctuary as
their new habitat. Meet at the northeast corner
of the Sanctuary at 10 am for this two hour,
free, guided walk. Rain or shine. Sponsored by
the Hastings Park Conservancy. This invitation

HSBC Celebration
of Light August 2 & 5 at 10 pm presented
by the Vancouver Fireworks Society at English
Bay. Italy, China, Czech Republic and
Mexico compete in this fireworks extravaganza.
