Bright Nights in Stanley Park Slated to Open to the Public Tomorrow Friday, December 1^st

November 30, 2006 (No. 27) - The Vancouver Park Board and British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund are reminding the public that the ninth annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park will open to the public tomorrow - Friday, December 1. People of all ages will enjoy the illuminated magic of Stanley Park and the Miniature Train and Children's Farmyard that have been transformed by seasonal displays and hundreds of thousands of glittering lights. The event helps to raise funds for the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund.

December 1, 2006 - January 2, 2007
3 pm to 10 pm daily (closed Christmas Day)
Advance tickets available at ticketmaster.ca or 604-280-4444
Same day tickets available at the Stanley Park Train from noon daily
Admission includes entry to the Children's Farmyard (open till 9 pm)

Important Note: For public safety reasons, Stanley Park, on occasion, may be closed due to inclement weather conditions such as snow and high winds. We will do our utmost to notify the public if a closure exists by contacting local media with an advisory, and will update messages on the Bright Nights Info Line at 604-257-8531.
