New Vancouver Active Communities Network To Be LaunchedJanuary 15, 2007 (No. 4) - The media is invited to the opening remarks and awards presentation which will kick off the new Vancouver Active Communities Network (VACNet) Tuesday morning at 8:30 am. Time: 8:30 - 9:00 am Colin Angus, Julie Wafael, Tim Harvey and Bob Lenarduzzi will be honoured at the event for their accomplishments and commitment to leading active lifestyles. Mayor Sam Sullivan, Provincial Minister Gordon Hogg, Park Board Vice-Chair Korina Houghton and Honourary VACNet Chair Bob Lenarduzzi will outline their commitment to increase physical activity of Vancouverites 20% by 2010, a goal initiated through the Provincial Government's "ACTNow BC".
