Children's Farmyard and Miniature Train Open Weekends Weather PermittingFebruary 2, 2007 (No. 11) - For those looking for something fun to do, plan a trip to Stanley Park and visit the Children's Farmyard and take a ride on the Miniature Railway. Beginning this weekend these popular family attractions will be open on weekends, weather permitting. Even toddlers will enjoy the friendly animals such as the sheep, goats, potbellied pigs and rabbits that live at the Farmyard. Winding along through the majestic evergreen forest, the train travels over trestles and through tunnels in a picturesque fifteen minute journey. Don't miss a new landmark on the train's route - it now passes through the remains of a huge hemlock, downed by the December 15th storm - neatly trimmed to allow the locomotive to make safe passage along its traditional route. Open Weekends - 30 - For more information contact Al Regan, Children's Farmyard Supervisor, 604-257-8530.
