Neighbourhood Matching Fund Spring Deadline

March 19, 2007 (No. 17) - The spring deadline for the Vancouver Park Board's popular Neighbourhood Matching Fund is Saturday, March 31, 2007.

The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation sponsors the Neighbourhood Matching Fund for eligible community groups who are interested in working with neighbours to improve parks and other public space. Projects funded in the past have included boulevard plantings, individually created street banners, information kiosks, mosaic walkways and community-based art projects.

Projects may be initiated by neighbours on a block or by a community-based organization. Maximum funding is $10,000, which must be matched with community contributions, including volunteer labour.
