Periodic Delays on Park Drive in Stanley Park between Prospect Point and Third Beach Beginning Monday, May 28th

May 25, 2007 (No. 14) - Beginning next Monday, May 28th, visitors arriving by car to Stanley Park should expect periodic delays on Park Drive between Prospect Point and Third Beach. Heavy machinery will be working to remove fallen branches and other woody debris from the roadsides over the next few weeks. Stanley Park visitors are asked to watch for Park Rangers who will be assisting with traffic stoppages during this restoration work.

The debris clean up along roads and trails is part of the restoration plan for the park following the December windstorms that caused extensive damage and downed more that 10,000 trees.
