Junior Lifeguard Camps Offered for Ages 9 to 15 June 6, 2007 (No. 37)

now accepting registration for the popular "Beach
Alert" Junior Lifeguard Camps All camp, participants must first know how to swim in order to attend. They will learn about first aid, water safety, self-rescue, lifesaving and lifeguarding skills in a fun, safe environment. The day starts at the Kitsilano Yacht Club, located at 2401 Point Grey Road, for the first hour. They will then use Kits Pool and eventually end up on Kits Beach to use beach equipment. Participants are introduced to a wide range of skills and knowledge that include: Bronze Medallion, Bronze Course, National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Pool and Waterfront Certification, Emergency First Aid, CPR and competition skills.
