Ghost Train Event CancelledSeptember 28, 2007 (No. 52) - The Vancouver Park Board announced today that this year's Hallowe'en Ghost Train in Stanley Park, scheduled to run October 12 through November 3, has been cancelled. The Park Board made the decision about the annual family event due to the ongoing civic labour disruption. With workers still off the job, insufficient lead times remain for promotion, set up and staging by the Park Board and its event partners. The next seasonal event in the park, the popular Bright Nights in Stanley Park, is scheduled for November 30, 2007 to January 3, 2008. - 30 - For more information contact Joyce Courtney, Manager of Communications, at 604-257-8699.
