Ride the Stanley Park Train and Visit the Farmyard for Free! "Welcome Back" Special Open HouseOctober 16, 2007 (No. 54) - As part of the Park Board's "Welcome Back" specials, the public is invited to enjoy an autumn day in Stanley Park riding the Miniature Railway and visiting the Children's Farmyard. These popular family attractions will be free this coming Sunday. Visitors can also warm up with free hot chocolate at the special Open House. Stanley Park Miniature Railway and Children's Farmyard Winding along through the majestic evergreen forest, the Stanley Park Train travels over trestles and through tunnels in a picturesque fifteen minute journey. Everyone in the family will enjoy a visit with the friendly animals that make the nearby Farmyard their home - sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, potbellied pigs, rabbits and more!
