Stanley Park Seawall Temporarily Closed
Due to Mud Slide
(Third Beach to Lions Gate Bridge)

December 3, 2007 (No. 25) - The Stanley Park Seawall will be closed indefinitely between Third Beach and the Lions Gate Bridge because of a 20 foot wide mud slide resulting from heavy snow and rainfall over the past few days.

Staff are consulting with an engineering contractor about the problem and estimate that the Seawall will be closed for at least several days while remedial work is carried out.
