Holiday hours at Park Board facilities and attractions

December 15, 2008 (No. 70) - Over the upcoming holiday season, Vancouver Park Board community centres, swimming pools, fitness centres and skating rinks are open on limited or adjusted operating schedule. Patrons are encouraged to check ahead before dropping in for a swim, skate or program.

Facilities sporting seasonal displays including the Bloedel Floral Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park, VanDusen Botanical Garden Festival of Lights and the Bright Nights Christmas Train in Stanley Park will be open and welcoming visitors over the holidays. In addition the Park Board's Pitch & Putt Golf Courses at Stanley Park and Rupert Park and full-length courses at Fraserview, Langara and McCleery courses are open daily year-round, including some holidays (weather permitting - call the attraction or facility for closure information).

The Park Board Administration office, located at 2099 Beach Avenue, will be closed from 12 noon Wednesday, December 24 through Thursday, January 1, 2009. The office will reopen on Friday, January 2 at 8:30 am.
