Open houses for four park upgrade projects

January 8, 2010 (No. 3) - The Vancouver Park Board is hosting a series of open houses to gather residents' feedback on upgrades and improvements to four local parks. Construction on these park projects will take place this summer.

Norquay Park: Proposed improvements include a playground, water spray park, sports court, tai chi area, pedestrian paths, plantings and benches. Construction is planned for the summer and fall of 2010.

Fraserview Park: We would like to meet with residents of the neighbourhood and other interested members of the public to discuss improvements scheduled for 2010.

Grandview Park: Conceptual designs for the Grandview Park upgrade developed with the feedback received from the two open houses last year will be on display to continue the discussion on park improvements. Construction scheduled to begin July 2010.

Legacy Sport Court (Raymur Ave. & Union Street): The public is invited to review proposed plans for a sport court in the area at the northwest corner of Raymur Ave. and Union St. Construction is planned for summer 2010.
