Vancouver RV space still available for Winter Games visitors

January 29, 2010 (No. 4) - The Vancouver Park Board's temporary RV park is still accepting reservations for 2010 Winter Games visitors. Space is available as Olympic visitors make last-minute plans to attend events in Vancouver but it is recommended that reservations are made as soon as possible.

"There has been a tremendous increase in bookings lately, in particular from Washington State, Vancouver Island and the Interior" said Aaron Jasper, chair of the Vancouver Park Board. "We are proud to play our part in hosting visitors from all over North America and making their stay as enjoyable as possible"

Interest in this unique accommodation option has escalated as visitors begin making plans to take in some of the free or inexpensive events and activities taking place during the Games. Some of these include LiveCity Vancouver and the Cultural Olympiad as well as numerous pavilions hosted by Canadian and international regions.

The RV sites are located in lots adjacent to Jericho Beach on the south shore of English Bay. Services will include on-site security, shuttle service during peak times to one of the new Canada Line SkyTrain stations, propane delivery and pump-out service. Patrons will have full access to the clubhouse adjacent to the Jericho Sailing Centre which includes refreshments, a television lounge, washrooms and showers.

Information and reservations can be made through www.vancouver2010rv.com or by calling 778-298-6900.
