Prince
Is 90 years old and a resident of Vancouver since 1938.
What Activities Keep You Fit and Active?
I like to curl twice a week in the winter and garden in the
spring and summer. In February, I start the tomatoes in my greenhouse.
(Bob was cleaning-up his yard and garden when this picture was taken
on January 26.)
What Motivated You to Become Active?
I like regular easy exercise. It's good to keep active
every day.
How Do You Motivate Yourself to Stay Fit?
I curl with a good group of fellows and attend church regularly.
Good friends and spiritual direction make a positive difference in my
life.
What Are the Benefits of Being Fit?
I like to stay active because it keeps me healthy.
Who Are/Were Your Role Models?
My parents were always active. My
dad would get up at 5:00am and garden
before going to work.
Hobbies/Interests?
In addition to gardening and curling, there is a workshop downstairs
and I like to do woodworking and small projects. People should have
hobbies to keep them active and enjoying life.
Eat Well
I've stayed fit by being active and eating three good quality
meals each day. I often start with porridge and juice in the morning
and rarely drink alcohol.
Favourite Things?
When I'm not curling, gardening or down in my workshop,
I like to read. Currently, I'm enjoying Robert Fisk's "The
Great War for Civilization".
