Artists in Communities Create in Local Neighbourhoods
Kerrisdale: Artist Lisa g Nielsen and artist intern Ariel Kirk-Gushowaty will be working with the community to gather personal stories using the location of Kerrisdale as the common theme. Stories will be told using text, photography, audio and video and will be shared on a blog and in local screenings. Lisa and Ariel will share tips on short story writing, digital photography, editing and filmmaking as well as blogging and archiving.
YOUR memories matter! In this welcoming atmosphere, explore how you would like to share your personal connection to the community, whether humourous, anecdotal, historical or thoughtful. Watch for workshop listings in the spring on the project blog http://kerrisdalecollectivememory.blogspot.com/
Please call 604-257-8117 or email kerrisdalecollectivememory@gmail.com with your idea!
