STAFF REPORTS

Synthetic Turf Playfields at Jericho and Memorial South Parks
The Board approved the installation of two additional artificial turf fields: at Jericho Park (West Field), and at Memorial South Park (Southwest Field) which will also include an upgrade to the running track in the central oval. Neighbouring fields where displaced user groups will be moved (the East field at Jericho and the Northwest Field at Memorial South) will be upgraded to be equivalent in size and quality of the fields where synthetic turf is being installed. The Board directed staff to update and revise the 2002 Playing Field Renewal Plan to guide playfield capital investments, playfield maintenance programs and playfield allocations to user groups for the next ten years.
