SPECIAL EVENTS

IMAGINE BRITANNIA BEYOND TOMORROW
Britannia Community Services Centre is in the fundraising stage to give the Community Centre a new look and new facilities. One of the new facilities is a 3-4 story building that will house a larger public art gallery with a gift shop, meeting rooms, a ceramic studio, dance studios, mini theatre, dining hall with industrial kitchen. The east side of Vancouver has the highest concentration of people working in the arts yet the existing venues are not near enough to support our needs.

We need letters of support for this plan. This can be from art patrons, artists in all disciplines and community people. Right now the Britannia Art Gallery, which is housed in the adult reading room of the Britannia Library, has reached the limits of what it can do with the types of exhibitions we can host.
