Nestled into beautiful Kensington Park (6.39 hectares) and located at Knight Street and East 37th Avenue, Kensington Community Centre was opened in 1980 and offers a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages. Specialty program spaces include a fitness centre, preschool, pottery studio, gymnasium, dance studio, meeting rooms and a leisure swimming pool perfect for beginners and lesson participants. A 5000 sq ft addition in 2001 provided much needed space for a senior's lounge and other popular programs. Outside, Kensington Park is the site of sand-based playing fields and a playground. Best of all is the view of the North Shore mountains from this highly positioned greenspace.

Kensington Community Centre is jointly operated by Kensington Community Association and the Vancouver Park Board.
