Welcome to Strathcona!

Our Mission statement: To sustain, promote, and develop a resource that supports the changing social and recreational needs and aspirations of the Strathcona Community.

The Strathcona Community Centre is located in one of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods. We have been serving the community with recreational services for over 35 years.

We provide a variety of services: licensed childcare, preschool, children, youth, adult, fitness centre and seniors programs.

We are also one of the few community centres that have a Breakfast and Food Security program for children.

The Strathcona Community Centre is jointly operated by the Vancouver Park Board and the Strathcona Community Centre Association.

Join us at Santas Breakfast for entertainment, holiday crafts, and a visit from Santa. Get your tickets early before this annual event sells out!!!

Winter Solstice Lantern Festival
Monday, December 21

Bring your lanterns at 5:30pm, down to Strathcona Community Centre for hot chocolate and cookies. At 6:00pm everyone gather together and parade down to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Gardens. For further information contact Naomi Singer at www.secretlanternsociety.ca

Winter 2010 Registration begins Friday, January 8th at 10:00 am
Phone in registration begins Saturday, January 9th at 9:00 am
Winter program guides will be available at the Centre beginning December 21st. Note that we
will no longer be delivering programs to homes. Please come by the centre for a copy.
