Malkin Bowl improvements

Project Description

Malkin Bowl is the historic performance stage in Stanley Park. Improvement include adding a stage door, improving the existing building envelope (adding insulation) and adding a new heating system. These revovations will allow this facility to be used year around, rather then in summer months only. This will also greatly help in creating additional performance rehearsal space in the City.

The renovations to Malkin Bowl are well underway. The contractors, Companion Construction,will install final finishes, a 60' long 6000lb steel beam to carry the new stage door and the building has been insulated and the electrical and fire alarm systems upgraded. Next steps will include installing millwork, finishing the heating system and installing the new stage door.
