Project Information
New Brighton Foreshore Control
Foreshore
erosion control and revegetation work
has been completed at New Brighton Park. Work was completed on the east side of the park between the pedestrian pier and edge of
the park beside the tennis courts (see photo). The approximate length
of the work was 250m.
The erosion control work utilized the existing stockpile of boulders
on-site, and incorporated a large degree of local plant species,
well suited to the foreshore environment. Some permanent and temporary
fencing was erected to protect some of the natural revegetated areas
as they mature.
