Project Description

The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is replacing the asphalt pavement on the seawall and Park Drive around Brockton Point in Stanley Park.

The work includes resurfacing the existing seawall walkway and providing better drainage between Brockton Point and Lumberman's Arch. Park Drive will be resurfaced between the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and the Totem Poles.

This $1.14 million project is funded in part with a $570 thousand Government of Canada Federal Infrastructure Stimulus Fund grant.

Pedestrians will be rerouted from the seawall to the upper bike path between the Totem Poles and Lumberman's Arch. The bike path will be a shared path during this time.

Park Drive will be reduced to single-lane traffic. Vehicle traffic can expect 20 minute delays and are advised to use the detour route during the reconstruction.
