Staff Team

The Planning and Operations Division is divided into three teams:

  • Research and Planning
    • prepare short, medium and long-term plans for parks and recreation facilities
    • prepare the Park Board's three-year financial package, called the Capital Plan
    • acquire land for future parks
    • conduct research on park and recreation issues
  • Park Development
    • prepare detail plans for the upgrade of existing parks and the construction of new parks
    • upgrade or rebuilding specific park features such as children's playgrounds, tennis courts, playing fields, etc.
    • supervise contractors during construction
  • Facility Development
    • prepare detail plans for the upgrade or expansion of exisiting recreation facilities and construction of new recreation facilities
    • supervise contractors during construction
