Got a creative community project? Matching funds available through the Park BoardMarch 12, 2010 (No. 11) - The Vancouver Park Board's arts and culture office is now accepting applications from community groups for creative community building projects. The deadline to apply for the Neighbourhood Matching Fund is April 15, 2010. The fund supports projects by neighbourhood-based not-for-profit groups who want to make creative improvements to local public land. It supports projects which actively involve people in developing community and building neighbourhood connections while improving parks or other public spaces. The Vancouver Park Board will supply funds up to $10,000 to match the contribution that the community makes through other funds raised, supplies donated or volunteer labour.
