Capture the spirit one last time: Free Community Happening Festival Sun, Mar 21March 18, 2010 (No. 13) - The community is invited to come to Killarney Community Centre (6260 Killarney Street) on Sunday, March 21 from 2 to 6pm for the final free Community Happening festival. The family friendly event is a celebration of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games as the Paralympic Games draw to a close. The day will include activities such as arts and crafts, games and sports, cultural performances and food. Sumi, the official mascot of the Paralympic Games, will be on hand as well as Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Community Happening festivals are presented by the Vancouver Park Board and the City of Vancouver in partnership with local community and neighbourhood house associations.
