VanDusen Botanical Garden hosts next Park Board meeting

June 29, 2010 (No. 32) - The Vancouver Park Board is holding its next regularly scheduled meeting at VanDusen Botanical Garden.

The meeting—bringing Park Board decision making and procedures to the neighbourhood—will take place at 7:00 p.m. July 5, 5251 Oak Street.

The public is invited to join Park Board Commissioners and staff as they discuss a variety of issues and policies that shape Vancouver's parks and recreation system. As part of the regular meeting, community members will have an opportunity to join in a question and answer session with Park Board Commissioners. The agenda for this meeting is posted on the Park Board's web site.

This is the second in a series of four community board meetings scheduled for 2010. Generally, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation meets on the first and third Monday of each month except during August. Most meetings are held at the Park Board office, 2099 Beach Avenue.
