"The newly installed bright red 1940s tractor and water trough in the play area have become magnets for neighbourhood children—making Tecumseh a destination for many families," says Park Board chair Aaron Jasper.

Tecumseh Park’s redesign came about after extensive consultation with the community. The upgrades to the 2.2 hectare (5.5 acres) park, which cost approximately $500,000, include new play equipment and seating area, paved areas to accommodate tai chi practitioners, levelled lawn areas, improved drainage and new pathways around the perimeter.
